Now here is something that baffles me. First of all, I'm doing an analysis of pushing both hands. These two hands are back to back and blinds are the same. If I set both players as maniacs on sit n go power tools and push, it's -.07 EV.
On the second hand, there are now 3 players to act after me and setting all 3 to maniacs, it's +0.6 EV to push. Why is that? A9os is much better than 69os and in the first hand, there's less people to act and the blinds are the same. Any opinions?

Using the maniac setting for both SB and BB I get a pushing range of 55+, A9o and A7s.

Using the maniac setting for the remaining three players and with you UTG in the next hand I get the following pushing range: 22+,A4o+,A2s+,KQo,KJs+,QJs,JTs. Setting SnGPT somewhat arbitrarily at the 20s I have $EV F of $47.12 and $EV P at $45.67 for 96o.

Are you blinds set to 200/400?

Ya, they're at 200/400. I still don't get why the pushing range is looser on the 2nd hand than on the first.

It's easy, in hand #1, the calling range for the big stack in the BB is very wide, while in hand #2, the BB will need a much bigger hand to call, especially if he faces a raise from you UTG.

In hand 2, the short stack on the button will probably only call with TT+ AK and AQ, the big stack in the small blind will probably let you pass with most hands as you are doing the dirtty work for him, and the BB could still fold and push into the small stack or you in the next 2 hands.

i'm having a hard time duplicating your posted results--- and perhaps i'm reading the hand wrong...

Hand 2:
BB 1040
SB 4645
BTN 880
CO 1435 (Hero)
BTN, BB and SB are set to Maniacs
pushing with 96o, EV = -.5%

Hand 1
BB 4445
SB 1080
BTN 1435 (Hero)
CO 1040
BB and SB are set to Maniacs
pushing with A9o, EV= +.8%

I don't know--- those results make sense to me... am I wrong in how I set it up, or are you?

in SNG power tools, you set the hand ranges that your opponents will call with... the OP has set the calling range of the opponents to be the same in both hands.
