i'm juggling between buying a dell, and building a pc.

so i was just wondering if i were to say buy one of the outrageous dell deals.. could i just upgrade it in the future with any video card, ram etc.. or would that ruin the whole pc, and have compatibility issues?

also would this void the warranty?

thanks for any replys in advance

the extent to which you can upgrade depends on the specific model you are talkling about. best bet is to call Dell and ask them about this (open RAM slots, etc.).

There are probably some upgrades you do which will void the warranty. then again, if you build a computer, you won't have much of a warranty either (only on some individual parts ).

if you don't want to spend a lot of money, jut buy a cheap dell. if you want a top of line the system, then it is worth building your own...
