I was hoping to get heads up against MP2 whose limp looks very weak, but after the button pushed his smaller stack, I felt obligated to call with the 2.7:1 pot odds. (but I'd rather have AK now)

I think you should have pushed all your chips in. You left yourself with 260 chips and gave the limper better odds. If he has you beat, he has you beat (he isn't folding AA,KK,QQ,JJ,AK in any case), but you should make his decision harder considering you aren't going to fold your last 260.

Not exactly, I begin at T730, raise to 200, leaving me still with <font color="red"> 530 </font> chips. The limper is gone and I call the button's smaller stack all-in for 270 more. (now I have 260 left).

Right, and if you make the decision to call, that leaves you with 260 (530 - 270). So, I think the question is really should you fold and keep 530, or should you move all-in to isolate your opponent. So, considering that the majority of the time the isolation play will work, I think you should move all-in.

If we think about this in more detail, you say that you saw the limper limp-in twice before. That tells me that he isn't only limping with AA or AK. So, if he happens to have AA or AK this time, you have to sit back and accept that he made an excellent play at mixing up his strategy and you will lose this tournament. But, on the other hand, typically he will fold, and you are then correct at saying that you are getting 2.7:1 odds. But, if he has suited connecters and is a really loose player, he might call if you just call because of all the chips in the middle and the fact that he might think you guys have each others outs (far-fetched, but there are loose players). So, I would tell him that "I'm not just calling because it is 270 more. I am raising all-in because I have a monster." That way, you will get back your 260 at the minimum, which you wanted to keep anyway, and you will go heads-up at 2.7:1.

Your play was ok. I'd probably rather move all-in than raise to 200. With a &gt;800 stack or so I'm raising to 200 as well.

To mgross: hero is closing the action when he calls the buttons all-in, so his only option is to call or fold. The MP limper already folded after button pushed.

I think this was played perfectly. Pushing preflop is too aggro in my mind. You're not that shortstacked yet, and neither are the majority of players still in the hand. And folding this hand preflop is crazy weak-tight to me.

Once you get pushed on by shortie, it's an easy call. You may be up against AK, but it could just as easily by KQ.

I'd play this pretty much exactly the same. On some days I might push, but I think a raise to t175-200 is absolutely fine.

with your stack size, I push and hope to get called by AJ, AT, or any other hand you have dominated additionally getting the limper to fold pocket pairs and such. furthermore you need to make the bb fold, he can still get involved with many hands and possibly play for your stack.
