First, thanks for the info on how much $$ to start with a t a 5/10 table. This question is about how much is doing well at a 5/10 game. 1 1/2 bets per hour? I don't understand that this is good or not. At $15 hr/ 7hr/ 5 days x 48 wks= $25,000
Is this what pros do? Is this the standard? thanks.

I suspect the top notch players average a bit more than 1.5 bb/hour though I am not sure of the exact number. Also the "pros" you speak of generally play 4 tables or so at once.

one cannot make a decent living at 25K pr year IMO. understand that, as a pro, you must pay all your own payroll taxes in addition to your income taxes.

as for $5/10 guys...which is what i'm playing right now online, a good rate would be 2BB+ per 100 hands. playing 4 tables, that should net you somewhere around $50 per hour if i'm not mistaken. in addition, online pros have rakeback deals, which would get you about $9 per hour on top of your win rate.

so, $59 per hour....30 hours per week....48 weeks per year....85K per year, give or take. not great, but not too shabby either.

cheers!

This is a pretty good assessment.

Alas, 2BB/100 at the 5/10 is not that easy to achieve...
