I have so much stuff to do each day, I'm having to go without sleep, and it's getting a bit much. I'd prefer to do the stuff and manage on less sleep, but I'm just dog-tired all the time then.

Anyone got any tips/knowledge of any means that you can reduce sleeping time for the long term? (and I don't mean take stuff to keep you going, so you finally lapse into a coma on day 15)

Ive been looking for something like this too. I think hte trick is to follow a STRICT schedule. 5.5 hours a night, no matter what etc. Dunno. I also htought about trying da vinci /uberman sleep schedule.

Try that Da Vinci thing that there was a thread about like a month ago.

Ya, 30 minutes of sleep every 4 hours. I started the thread. Seems kind of tough, and you really cant do it long term.

I find that I need about 8 hours of sleep a night. If I get any less than 8 hours at any point in the week, I end up crashing by the end of the week and feel like garbage until I get to sleep in and catch up.

That being said, whenever I've gone on a health kick and am working, out I find that I have more energy during the day, even if I've gotten less than 8 hours the night before.

Sleep serves too many purposes to be messing around by lessening it. There was an artice in Time last Novemeber/December on latest findings. Good stuff, sleep is.

How organized are you? Are you good at time management? MAybe you just need to make better use of your awake time.

I tried the uberman sleep schedule for a week, realized I had nothing to do with 20 hours, and went to sleep.

GHB if you can score some.

Seriously, wasn't that what the stuff was meant for? I understood that, when taken in the proper dosage, it immediately put you in the deepest stage of sleep and kept you there. Normally, adults only get a few hours in that stage. GHB just let you skip the other parts. I really don't know how accurate that it though.
