So, going to take up the "3+1 Challenge" this year, or not?
Thanks for last season and I hope all goes well for us this season!

Eagles are 6-1 against the spread vs. the Falcons since 1992. They are 3-1 against the spread vs. the Falcons in Atlanta since 1992. On Monday Night Football, the Eagles are 4-2 against the spread in the last 3 seasons. On the other hand, the Falcons are 0-1 against the spread in the last 3 seasons. Two seasons ago they had played in Atlanta on 11/2/03 Eagles 23 Falcons 16, in which the Eagles were favored by 3. I am with you too.

Based on the above reasoning? Was McNabb even on PHI in 92? What about Vick? He play for ATL then? I am not saying it is a bad bet one way or the other (personally I lean towards the Eagles), but the above reasoning is not very sound.

I understand. Since you like the Eagles too I am going to bet the ranch. None of this 1-2% of your BR per game nonsense. Thanks for the green light, Craig. Football betting is the only sports betting I can make any money. I tried picking soccer winners from the World Cup Qualifier yesterday, but my teams either ended up drawing or losing by 1 goal today.

Thanks for the invite E, but I'm gonna pass. I'll hate having to pick 4 games a week if I only like 2. Good Luck this year

Man, it's the first week of a long season. I would take it easy. Any given Sunday (or Monday)...

does anyone feel like the lines in the first week or two of the nfl season are especially soft as compared with the rest of the season?
maybe a lot of undeserved optimism by homers?

These lines have been available since June. Any softness that was there has been pounded out long ago. Roxy Roxborough says that week 1 of the NFL has the sharpest lines because they have months to set them. For the rest of the season, they have less than 24 hours.
