Is it always that f'ing crazy? I played my first real session this afternoon and found it insane. I've never been that sucked out on so many times, or three-bet on the turn with a six-high draw before.

Crazy. The swings in that game have got to be incredible. Is it always that same madness?

5/10 is hot and cold on the craziness. I've sat at tables that were uber-passive and uber-aggresive both. I imagine 3/6 is similar but I've only played a few hands there.

Compared to most mid limit games it's passive.

That game is aggressive?

So, responses include:

--the game is crazy;
--the game is passive;
--move up to my limit, and you'll see aggressive;
-sometimes yes, sometimes no.

As always, it depends, I guess. Then again, the question was lame to begin with...

The question isn't lame. I want to clarify my response: the 3/6 6m is my regular game and I don't find that game aggressive at all.

To echo Jason's response, the game is not particularly aggressive. Expect to find better players at shorthanded tables who can make you fold incorrectly and can bet their hands for value. This is not to state that the games are tough, however. As you play more aggressive games it becomes very clear who you profit from.

whether or not the game is considered aggressive or not to you is a matter of personal judgement, but moving from full ring to six max it will seem very aggressive...which is true, but you can adjust to it, and a lot of the time it is stupid aggression from bad players trying to make everyone lay down everything on every hand...its something that you get used to and can exploit...

to your other question, the variance is much larger than full ring game so its something to be prepared for and perhaps compensate for with a larger starting bankroll...
