in my conference, grisgra in in and myself and nlsoldier are tied vying for the last sopt, the other two teams are out. i believe nls would win the tiebreaker between us if it came to that.

in the other conference, i have no idea.

edit: other team captains really should have been keeping track of this stuff to know where their team stands.

While we all agree Evan is way too short, I think that the captains have done a less than awesome job of running stuff, using subs and in general keeping things order.

Also this might have been the worst possible time to hold this (with school starting and everybody vacationing and stuff), which I guess we can blame on Evan.

Also, apparently my team is in the playoffs, does this mean I've already made money, can I go buy a TV?

I don't know how "most captains" have done. But I feel I've done a good job--and by that, I don't mean I've always gone above and beyond to make sure everything was done on time because I think a lot of responsibility falls on the players. The players signed up for this and they should care about it. Tough love people, I'm not here to coddle, I'm here to get results.

Aren't we feeling a little frisky? I at least have to give you brownie points for stepping up and matching up against me. This should be good. With my teams playoff hopes riding on my match, there will be no mercy. I'm sure though you wouldn't want it any other way. Hit me up on AIM at some point, I can play after say 9:30-10:00 EDT pretty much any night as long as I know in advance. Well set up a day when you give me a shout. I wont be home until probably 8 or so, and wont be online until 9:30 at least.

ditto. But funny part is I was in three awesome games last night and found myself down 2400 in 2 hours. But down only 1100 in 2.5 hours. I'm really flexible with nights, we have almost a week to get it in, so Im pretty sure we can get it worked out. Im usually on from at least 10-12 usually 9:30-12 lately. I understand that the payoffs will be 50/30/20 . . . fair enough. But how will the games work?

May I suggest that instead of 5 matches, picked by the team with the best record (and there may be no such team) that each team captain pick 5 matchups, for a total of 10 games? In the event of a 5-5 tie, the captains play off for the gold.

Just got back from Vegas where I put in close to 70 hours of poker during a 100 hour stay. I know... what a pussy. Anyhow I am semi-burnt out. The 50 or so gin and Sobe I went through (along with beer, Bailey's and coffee and whatever else) did not help. I have a bit of work to do over the next cpl hours and then I am going to get some sleep. I expect to be ready for my match anytime after 9pm tonight.

With the season over for me, I'd just like to take this opportunity to announce my retirement from HULA. Its been fun, but I just don't have the motivation to play these matches anymore. Especially considering how badly things get screwed up in the league. I guess its just hard to count on people you only know from the internet to be reliable.
