I need new songs for my running mix. It needs to be about 1 hr long so I need lots of new music. I am keeping 2 songs from my old one as I like them so much and they are perfect for running imo so they will give you an idea of what I am looking for.

Underworld - Born Slippy from Trainspotting
Fleetwood Mac - Tusk

I like all types of music from all time periods so fire away.

This makes me feel like something is chasing me! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Good picks thanks Ocho and Dynasty.

I think I'm also adding Con Te Partiṛ (I'll Go With You) by Andrea Bocelli (http://www.barrygreenstein.com/)

I need more though.

"Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" by Santa Esmarelda. It's on the Kill Bill Vol. 1 soundtrack. It has a great driving beat that gets me pumped up, plus it's over 10 minutes long.

Eminem's "Till I Collapse"

Althought based on the other songs you might not be into rap.

my gym music usually consists of American Head Charge, Slipknot, Dry Kill Logic and Rammstein...

i think rammstein is the best cuz its pretty upbeat and quite fast...the others are just good fast metal albums...

great albums to work out to: undertow, pretty hate machine, system of a down (self titled), and any of the rammstein albums

The 4 best Running tunes of all time:

"All along the Watchtower" -Jimi
"Fortunate Son" -CCR
"Rock n Roll" -Zep
"Pride and Joy"- Stevie Ray

And only for the Hip guitar enthusiasts I reccomend:
Danny Gatton's CD "the Humbler". He killed himself a few years back, but this dude could Rock.

Just a few more upbeat tracks from my playlist now. I'm partial to dj mixes, in recent memory something like Deep Dish on Essential Mix in June '05.

Basement Jaxx - Lucky Star
Gorillaz - DARE
Metric - Dead Disco
Stereophonics - Have a nice day
Trick Daddy - Let's Go

No one could make me run faster than Lil Jon.

Megaherz - Hurra - Wir Leben Noch
Megaherz - Das Leben (hence where my username comes from)
Rammstein - Asche zu Asche
Rammstein - Weisses Fleisch

The cadence of most German rock really gets me going. Unless you've heard it, you might not understand.

Running on Empty by Jackson brown is a way better song that has the word running in the title.
