For those of you new to the internet or who play on the internet only occassionly, you should be aware that "tilting" occurs more frequently on line. The main reason it occurs is because of the speed or rate of hands online compared to at a B&M casino.

At the casino, you may have a bad beat, get upset, but you have alot more time to calm down. It will take maybe 20-60 minutes before you play another hand. Even in a terrible session, you will go home and cool off before playing some more. Online, you dont have the 50 minute cool down time. It may be a matter of minutes before you play another hand and yet another bad beat. This compounding of bad luck in a much shorter period of time tends to make your tilt point lower and your anger magnify. If you arent able to cool down, you may continue tilting throughout your entire online session. Tilting- leading to playing loose and poorly, may lead to more anger and more tilting. Before you know it, you are a raging lunatic ready to throw your laptop out the window.

In order to be successful online, you must adapt to bad beats. You must learn not to tilt and not to get upset at horrific beats.

If not you will hate online and you cascade into a downward spiral of continued losing.
