Believe or not...but it did happen.

Driving home from work today in my Full-Size pickup, I pull up to a red light next to a pretty hot looking girl (an 8 I spose). I looked over and down at her and saw that she was "flicking the bean" slowly, and enjoying herself. She looks over at me, and I smile. She smiled and winked at me without about the HOTTEST looking expression I've ever seen. The light turned green, and she drove off.

I heard it once on a Jay Mohr stand-up. Never heard anyone I actually know say it, though.

i thought it was widespread, i don't know what it's from other than hearing guys on the internet say it.

although this thread would be much cooler if in this case "bean" meant "booger", which is what i usually think of whenever someone is talking about flicking something.

Why do people say this when things happen not specific to America? Is it just supposed to be a general expression of how much they love life?

Well...The only reason that original poster was able to see down into the car and catch the hot girl "bean flicking" was because he was way up in his "full size pickup." Only in america do people drive around town running errands in a giant ass full size pickup trucks.

I'd never heard (or read) the expression before and I had to read the story about three times to confirm from the context that the OP had not seen a hot chick picking her nose at the light.

Based on her looking over, smiling and speeding off, I gathered the true meaning of the phrase.

I was leaving the gym once and opened one of those Myoplex shakes but forgot to shake it up first. So I put my thumb over the opening and shook it under the steering wheel between my legs, didn't want to get any drops on myself. I was sitting at a red light and I looked over and there was a cute girl sitting in the car next to me. I don't think she was as excited as you were in your incident.
