Reporter: What are you doin'?
Officer: I'm doin' my job. Lookin' for looters.
...
Reporter: And what do you do when you find them? Because I think I see them.

Brilliant.

I like how she started to subtly threaten the reporter with "What are *you* doing in here?".

Stupid cow.

There's a problem with my computer where I can't stream video off the internet, can only download it and then watch the file. Anyone have a link to the actual file of the video?

Does that help?

Prisonplanet usually has hotlinks directly to the original news sources for their postings.

No, it still just brings me to an html file, not the .wmv file.

Probably because just like everyone else, they're homes where destroyed and they have no clothes.

I'm not going to try and justify their actions, but at some point people just need to realize that 'they are people too' and thus subject to human behaivor, good and bad.

They are a couple of bad apples. We all know there were more as well, but from what I have seen, they are not reflective of the department as a whole during this time.

Yes, there were some (a lot) that abandoned their posts as well, but that doesn't cloud or paint the ones that did stay, served and suffered along with everyone else while attempting to keep some sort of order in place until the (late) feds got involved.

(it's a sad day when I have to be the voice of reason around here.)

Honestly though, how much help would these 2 police officers would bring

Actually three cops were shown looting. I couldn't really tell what was in the cart besides clothing. In their position, I'd likely do the same.

No I think it's just the result of tragedy. Had a lot of police officers not walked off the job or commited suicide this would be funny. Had this been in any other city and not in one in which people were and are dying it would be funny.

Yeah it's irony.

Incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs.
