I just ran my first two sets of 8 tables after 6 tabling for a whille...does this get easier or am I doomed to want to kill myself with all the action going on. 8 is way more harder then I expected it to be after having a breeze with 6. I still ran pretty well but all the action is insaine and I now have so much more respect for people that consitantly do it. Hopefully it gets a bit easier. Anyone that does more then 8 is just amazning and I would so sleep with you /images/graemlins/confused.gif

You get used to it, and then it will seem like an old hat. I just started myself, and it's already easier after 150 or so tourneys this past weekend and a few more in the previous week. Hardest part is starting the damn things, and if you're on the bubble at 6 or more simultaneously.

Do you not remember when you first started to 4/6 table? Did the same questions run through your head? Did it not get easier and easier with practice?

I do it at a buy-in well below my normal bankroll-dictated level.

8-tabling is the shizzle!!!

I just did one set this weekend at the $6s. I have a small laptop monitor so the tables had to be tiled one on top of the other. I ended the set at -$18.00 (is this sustainable? /images/graemlins/tongue.gif), but it was fun as hell. w000t!!!

But I think I'll stick to 4-tabling for now.

Do you have a 2 monitor set up, or do you have to deal with overlap?

It definitely gets easier, but I don't think I would ever be happy with any ovelap. I have gone from feeling intense time pressure to getting kind of bored unless I have 5+ tables in the advanced stages (where things can get a little hectic). Also, I have taken to playing complete sets, only refilling if I bust out early, or when I am down ot 1 or 2 tables at the end (if I don't want to take a leak or get a drink or just gth away from the computer for a minute or two).

Brag post:

I just did my first serious 8-tabling this past weekend, as I mentioned above. Previous to this I was playing the $33s, but I stepped down to the $22s to learn how to do 8 at a time. I am going by memory here since I'm at work, but anyway, started 8-tabling, and 150 or so SNGs later:

ROI: -0.01%
Profit: approx. -$10
Rakeback: $84

So my magic formula?

1) Buy 2nd 2001fp
2) .... ????
3) Profit!

Now to step back up to the $33s, where I can make some real money.

I have a two monitor setup. ones 1400X1250 and the other is 1024X768 but the reso is set to 16X12 so the overlap is on the outside of the monitor (if that makes sense). Sometime this week however I should be picking up a new monitor

You don't even need a new monitor or profit...just run off the rakeback! Oh how I love rakeback... P.S good luck

well, ive been lazy as of late, and have only put in around 12 total hours 20 tabling. the HARDEST part is starting the new tournaments. i could play probably 32 if i didnt have to close tables and open up new ones. thats the hardest part. all the other plays are pretty much automatic in the 22s, and rarely will i need to think for longer than half a second. holla
