Villian is 74/21 after 38 hands, but the size of his raises have varied. He mini-reraised me pf with KK. The $2 first re-raise scares me too, wonder if I should have played if for set value and called the first raise. My implieds are gone by the size of his raise. At this point it's push or fold, and my read is fold.

This seems reasonable.

Yeah, this is a fold. If he had a little more you could call, because you're getting 2.5-1 immediate + implied odds, but a $44 stack definitely doesn't justify the call.

By all means, fold then. I do think that a checkraise push on a non AK flop is superior to a preflop push if you're going to play though.

I had a bunch of stuff written but it was getting to wordy..to make a long story short...pot=40..his remaining stack=40(if you call)...with stack sizes I think sticking it in preflop is better...if he was deeper I like your plan.

Hey Yeknom,

This is interesting to me. It seems to me that checkraising (or checking and calling an all in no matter what on a non AK flop) would always be superior to just sticking it in preflop. Could you elaborate on your reasoning?

Thanks
Sam

So what's your plan on a Axx or Kxx flop?
