him and nip/tuck made a disclosed bet that giga would win the august tlb. i think nip got 2 to 1 but i may be off. nip.tuck then offered a 5k reward for and p5'er who won the august TLB.

100k side bet! who el capitano really was when playing for a week straight non stop (http://www.pocketfives.com/2AD7BE6C-61DB-4103-8041-0A133A982994.aspx)

Holy [censored] I noticed El Capitano playing 24/7 but didn't think anything of it... Was at Gigabet's table late in the month when he went out 14th or so in the 25k 10$ re-buy (possibly could have taken him out i forget) when a lot of observer's started making a big deal about it, thought nothing of it again... Giga lost his bet, and Thor & the crew cleared 100k?
Goddamn.

By the way, it's sweet how PokerStars will basically let anything logical slide, while PartyPoker would've probably frozen the account and seized the money or just disallowed it from the beginning.

I would like to bet him 50K I would beat him in the monthly leader board on party.

He will prolly give you that action.

Good luck. Party LB is very Gigafriendly.

You have action, name some people we both know or have heard of, that you trust to hold the money.

From what I hear you would have to fight off Yugo first.

I'd like to hear more about this bet.

I'll hold money, facilitate, or find someone even more reliable to hold the money, whatever.

I heart prop bets.

i'm sure this has been discussed elsewhere, but does anyone else think it's dick to use 6 people to take down gigabet, and to have "checks" in place to make sure he's the only one on his account?

well personally i doubt that ida has that kind of money to make this kind of bet. but sometimes, who knows, all that things need is some grease in the gears.

i've been called slime before, so i guess i could try to be grease.

all depends on the terms of the bet.

i think it's dick, but i don't know the terms of the bet. if i were to make a zany bet, i'd be damn sure that the rules at least didn't handicap me.

(or maybe i mean kneecap)

Notice that El Capitano did not win the TLB. Also note that Gigabet only took 4th.

That said, anything within the rules of the bet should be fine.
