I just put a 5lb. slab of ribs on the smoker for a nice long slow cook. To be served with roasted corn, potato salad and baked bean. Anyone else grilling?

I'll probably be grilling today for dinner, but nothing special. Just like some hamburgers or chicken.

Yep, we're doing grilled turkey breast (a big one), grilled corn on the cob, some garlic toast on the grill and some sort of potato, probably potato salad or roasted little red potatos. Add a little gravy and serve with ice chilled beer and life is good.

I grilled yesterday for the first time in months. I was planning on boneless chicken breasts, but the kids wanted burgers.

It's just been too damn hot down here. It was beautiful out late yesterday afternoon.

I needed charcoal (gas? PHOOEY!), so I went down to WalMart. My knees are now ravaged with arthritis, and walking all over super-stores is no longer a breeze, so I look for a parking spot near the garden center. Find one RIGHT up front. SWEET!

I walk in, and they still have the BBQ stuff in that "seasonal" section. I grab a 20-lb bag of Kingsford. SWEET!

No line at the register. SWEET!

No CASHIER at the register. God Dammit!

I'm not dragging that bag a half-mile to the main checkout, and another half-mile back to the car.

I stop at a gas station on the way home, and buy a 5-pound bag that cost as much as WalMart's 20-lb'er.

Grilled all weekend.

Saturday Night

Grilled chipotle marinated steak with pasta salad, tomato salad. For dessert, grilled peaches with vanilla ice cream and a bourbon brown sugar glaze.

Sunday Night

Grilled tequila lime chicken with grilled zucchini and eggplant.

Labor Day

Grilled hot dogs served "chicago dog" style with the leftover pasta and tomato salad, and root beer floats.

10 lbs of marinated ckicken thighs, 8 lbs of marinated pork steaks, and corn for our labor day weekend potluck that we hosted. Everything was AWESOME, but we now have a ton of leftovers in the 2nd fridge.. guess I know what is for lunch and dinner tomorrow.. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

There was a sale on New York Strip so I grilled up 5 1-pounders. Also made some baked potato, corn, and mushroom/green pepper/onion sautee.

Grilled for every meal from friday to this afternoon. Nothing special though; steaks, brats, chicken, burgers, steaks, steaks.

Although next weekend I'm looking forward to grilling up some LONGHORN.

Got back this afternoon from a weekend of golf in the East Bay. Roddy Ranch, Shadow Lakes, and Poppy Ridge. My GF and I fired up the Weber and did up 3 different bell peppers, 2 different squashes, 2 ears of white corn, and a side of New York Strip. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
