I think a river bet is standard.

I value bet the river a lot.

I would bet the river too, but I think you have to fold to a raise. Therefore I check/call if against a complete maniac, where I feel uncomfortable folding to a river raise.

If I'm against a maniac I'm bet/calling, no way I'm folding to a raise and there's no way I'm good less than 55%.

the good thing about the river check, is that it will induce a bluff, which he may not have put in but i would mostly bet/call, i am never folding this.
