I would like 3rd more if you had a K or A in the hole. I think 5th is too agressive as well, I would check/call there - the CR may be better if you were heads up or if you could make someone cold call two bets but I dont see you having enough equity here for that play.

Seems like Hero is was rather loose aggressive as well - raising with a 3 flush, J high, with a burned jack. Why not draw to the flush cheaply by simply calling? I don't see how J-3-5 against presumbly Js (or something worse in the hole) is something you want to get heads up against.

I would like capping on third with your three-flush more if

1) there were more people in
2) Jacks were live
3) you had more high-card strength

or

4) there weren't any spades out.

I just don't think there's any value in jamming in this particular scenario.

On fourth, the pot is far too big to fold. On fifth, sure, check-raise. Check-raising is fun, and it can't be far wrong. I would bet sixth, and probably bet the river as well.

As for the 20/40 game - I'm finding it to be solid at times and very good at others. I've posted some of the hands that exemplify how it can be very good.
