i started one but was too slow. here's what i wrote:

This was brought up in the last longer thread because there's alot of banter going on about what table/who to sweat.

I haven't found much of interest yet.

It was mentioned Buster Love (Mark Seif) has a stack so he could be fun to watch.

Table 251 also looks interesting with El Capitano, mrpokejoke (i believe is matusow) and I've also seen MeltonOK high in the TLB listings.

Post here if you find anything else noteworthy

Table 142, Active player raises to 210 first in on 15/30 - usual raise to 4x bb or so, not sure what this raise means but i raise to 500 from CO with KK. Button goes all in and has played almost no hands - tighest player on the table. I think about all the "Folding KK preflop?" threads and call. Villain shows AKs, K's hold up. Stack 5k.

Fossilman just got rivered... he had 8-9 of spades and called in the SB PF after a larger (200T) UTG raise. Flop came 8-J-8 and eventually all the money got in and his opponent rivered one of his two aces to knock greg out.

744 out of 2561.

Two interesting hands back to back - flop a straight in the small blind, get it all in on the turn, and the board pairs the river giving a guy a boat.

Very next hand, I pick up AK on the button with 1200 chips. 15-30 blinds. Guy that just sucked out on me makes it 120 to go. I raise all in. This time, I suck out on him. He has AA, and flop comes JTX, Q on the river.

Good luck everyone.

Raised on the button 3x BB - both blinds call. Flop J24. Check Check I bet 450 into 450 pot, SB folds, BB calls.
Turn card a Ten and BB goes all in for 1000 more versus 1350 pot.( loose , bluffy player). I call, he has J2 for flopped 2 pr. No help on river.

Next KK, My KK vs QQ. Looking good for 1300 pot.

Flop Q86 - looking bad

Turn K - looking fantastic

River Q for quad queens. Thats all she wrote.

Good god, I'm playing so bad.

Hit a gutter to take out top set. Here's how bad I'm playing:

blinds 50/100 CO limps, I make it 500 in SB with AK, CO and I each have about 1800 to start the hand. Flop QJx and I bet 400? WHY!?! Lord knows I'm not folding but I like a c/r AI here better. He minraises to 800 and I call planning on pushing on the turn. But the turn is a T and I check-call all in vs top set. I am sooooo good at poker.

T2875 at the 2nd Break

Peaked at a little over 4k but lost a hand on the button w/QT vs. an AA limper when I re-raised him all-in (he was shortstacked) on the flop with top pair and gut shot. Probably should have just laid it down being suspicious of his play.

I've said that three times in the past two days, usually followed by something like "I'm horrible". In the past, what has worked from me (playing online) is to just start playing a little more solid, not bluff as much, stop being as LAGgy. I find that when I'm running bad I'm playing too many pots, being aggressive at the wrong times, and am constantly spewing off chips. This obviously doesn't mean I'm not taking stabs at pots, just being a little more careful and putting more thought behind it.

3 of the top 9 stacks are at that table, and also #25 (out of 200). Of the other 5 at the table none has over 60% of the average stack. Interesting table dynamic.

Other than Carl, who is great to watch, any other notables or 2ers?

And is J9 of clubs TJ Cloutier?

09-05-2005, 12:36 AM
I just busted in 82ed place

, I had very short stack for a very long time, i had KQ offsuit in the UTG+2, UTG+1 limped, and i desided to push this hand with less then x6BB, UTG+1 limper limped with large variety of hands and often would play rather horrible hands. Anways this particular moment; I pushed my QK offsuit, folded back to UTG who insta called and showed JJ, flop comes J,9,rag, giving me a gutshot which did not improve =[ king on the river gave me insult to injury but i was rather happy with a 1990$ finish considering i only invested 30$ in this whole WCOOP thing.

Worst part of all has to be the fact that if i was to fold that hand i would of won +700 more as it was hand for hand and a player got knocked out with a bigger stack at the same hand-4-hand as me.

Anways all in good fun and cheers to everyone.

Thanks for the sweat guys. Brutal turn card. Only card i go bust on. I'm really happy with how i played though and with the structure of the tournament.

Jurollo, I had KK on that LRR. I rarely LRR at all, but I was fairly certain the button was going to raise me with any two and then maybe feel compelled to call or push with mediocre hands. He had been playing super aggro and I figured with having the button he'd be taking any opportunity.

The hand where i limped and then called a raise from one of the blinds I had 78s. flop was T96 and I pushed hoping he had an overpair. I maybe should have slow played it, but from how aggro I had been playing I didn't think he was laying down an overpair, which is what i really thought he had from his preflop play.

my notes on J9 of clubs are interesting: i have one hand where he won a pot without showdown with JJ then showed it afterwards, and another hand where he won a pot with QQ no showdown and showed it. of course that doesn't prove anything, but since he's supposed to be from richardson, and it's known that he likes to show his good hands when he has them and they don't get shown down, i'm believing that it is him.

In a completely random development, Lee Jones is threatening to disable observer chat for the rest of the tournament after a few observers started harassing TJ over random stuff (money owed or something stupid like that). All he needs to do now isto threaten to pull the damn car over.

I know railbird chat gets stupid at these large events, but this seems really silly.

[ninja edit: TJ is beasting now, up to 480k -- good for 3rd, 60k behind the leader.]

Has anyone noticed TJ playing very erratically? Blinds are 4k/8k, and he called a 130k PF AI by the button in the SB with AT.

Also, he raises 6xBB preflop? Huh ??

Kumubou
09-05-2005, 01:54 AM
Whoever he is, he picked a damn good time to get cards. AA and KK on back to back hands put him up over 750k with 38 left. The KK hand hurt TJ a bit as he called a UTG push for 80k (with who knows what) when SHIPITlebron comes over the top with KK and he folds. UTG has AQs, flop come bricks and he picks up over 170k.

I think Rug is playing badly.

Most of those people are < 10BB, at his table. (infact, all.) Shouldn't he be stealing more to build a stack that can win the tournament? He has roughly 300k, all else in table roughly 80-120k, blinds 6k/12k.

beset, I watched that hand. All I was thinking was that I am too god damn weak tight to make that play (with the 9 that is).

toprose was a huse shortstack and has come back, WOW

yeah I was also thinking that if I was thetruth I'd probably push any two after the second min-bet but maybe I'm too kamikaze. I also haven't been playing with toprose so I don't know what a minbet means from him but it was just bizarre watching him value bet that crap.

The hosts said the MrSuperlove, currently 3rd in chips with 768k at the current break with 11 left, is the only player left who got into the tournament for zero deneiro.

But they're doing a good job!

This part of the tourney is great though. Each spot is worth about 11-13k.
