Button is a very weird player. He can bet and raise with nothing at times, at other he can check/call down with top pair he is 60/11%/1.04 over 100+ hands

BB is a calling station and a novice player with 65%/0/.73 over 200 hands

Bet the flop.
Excellent turn.
Bet the river and call a raise.

Hope you won.

You dont wanna face BB w/ 2 bets so lead the flop rather than C/R...

I'd bet/call river

Cap river. Someone tell me what, given our read of button, he's holding that beats us here? I don't think our flush is losing to AA or KK, and given the read I don't think AKs even knows to cap this flop. I'll cap the river then make sure to type "eh, got lucky" when he starts bitching in the chat about how AA got cracked by garbage.

I would play it just as you did, there are five spades out there that could be beating you if they are paired with another spade. I think there's a good chance he has a bigger flush. Look at the aggression stats, its big preflop, but vanishes once the cards are out, and he is jamming the pot in this case. I would read him/her for A6 of spades, but at a minimum Ax or KQ of spades. You cannot fold in this big pot. Call and hope that he has a two pair or a set.

Even against very weak opposition I don`t think you can play this hand profitably for 1.5 bets OOP (with just 2 players in).

i need help with the preflop call- if i was BB, okay. don't like it in SB. is this standard?

I obviously have a lot to learn:
(i) I would probably fold pre-flop. 78s is behind almost anything button would raise (even pseudo-bluff) and not worth 1.5 bets. BB is still to play. With a couple more limpers I might call.
(ii) I don't understand the aggression on the flop: there are 15 outs to the flush and straight (2.1:1) but the flush outs are not to the nuts. If you don't hit them a win is unlikely. The raise cannot be for value (2 players, 2.1:1). If it is to protect the hand, it can only be against a single high spade in case turn/river is runner runner spades.
(iii) From the turn on, I suppose its a case of how reliable the "weird" read on button is. After the cap, I would be tempted to check/call the river.
