Been laptop searching...

..and I can't seem to find any better deals/notebooks than the dell inspiron 9300. Am I right to think that this is the best I can get (ignoring huge prices)?

I'll be using it for school work.. writing papers, doing research and 4-tabling poker. Is the 17" XGA screen enough or should I go for the whole WUXGA (i forget the actual acronyms, sorry)? Is there really much a difference?

I also do play some games, though not that often, and probably not often enough to bother with it on my laptop. I'll probably just keep my games on my desktop computer.

Any suggestions? I can get it for pretty cheap (around 1600) thanks to my school student discount through dell, but are there coupons out there that would be better than my student discount?

Well if you want to play 4 tables with no overlap get the WUXGA otherwsie you will not have 1200x1800 resolution. I have been looking alot to and the ell is the best deal going for 1200x1800 res.
