just saw it again on the history channel. they just don't make quality films like that anymore. what a [censored] performance by Pacino. makes me want to stand up to the world. but sadly i'll probably just go back to my crappy job monday morning and continue to kiss my bosses' ass /images/graemlins/frown.gif

here's the thing about scarface, and i feel the same about goodfellas, casino and a whole bunch of other movies.

While these guys made money and were successful over the short term, ultimately, they were nothing but a bunch of hoodrats who could never do anything worth a damn if they didn't have a bat or a gun.

1 day as a lion > 100 years as a lamb

I think that in and of themselves, they're terrific films. However, I feel that they embody the strongest form of racism in our society today, that being the belief that young minorities can be successful in criminal ventures which, ultimately, they can't.

Fair enough. However, 1 day as a lion is still < 20 years as a prison bitch
