View Full Version : Very basic implied odds question

Hi,
Was wondering how to account for implied odds in NL.
Say there is $100 in the pot, you have T /images/graemlins/spade.gif9 /images/graemlins/spade.gif and the flop comes:

8 /images/graemlins/spade.gif4 /images/graemlins/spade.gifk /images/graemlins/diamond.gif

your opponent bets $50 and you think he has A /images/graemlins/heart.gifK /images/graemlins/heart.gif

Your immediate odds are 3:1 but what are your overall odds with implied odds?

Thanks

It's impossible to give an exact answer for that, especially in NL. You need to figure out how much money you think you can make from him if you hit your hand.

There's no way to calculate it exactly in NL. All you can do is estimate how much you think he'd call on later streets based on your previous read of the player and the amount that he's bet into you on the flop.
