Party 50NL 6max

any getting away from this? first hand at the table. Zero hands on villain.

hero has $50 in the BB, villain covers in MP

Hero is dealt 4h 9h
Villain minraises to $1, two calls, hero calls the $0.50 (they wuz sooted)

($3) Flop: 4s 9c Qh
Hero bets $2, Villain calls, one Limper calls

($9) Turn: 3c
Hero bets $6, Villain minraises to $12, Limper folds, Hero re-raises to $25, Villain pushes, Hero calls

So, knowing zero about the opponent I pot committed myself with the $25 on the turn. Perhaps should have called the minraise? What line if so.

I'd call the turn raise and check call a reasonable river bet. The problem with your turn re-reraise is it's only called (or raised) by hands that have you killed. If he's got a good Q or KK or AA, you want him to think it's good. Reraising him on the turn tells him it's not. It also tells a set that you're willing to go broke on this hand.

Fold preflop. I notice that when I hit a junk hand like this, someone usually hits better with a more legit hand. Poetic justice for playing it in the first place. As played, I'd probably 3-bet push the turn.
