Here http://www.pokerstars.com/rake.html it says that the rake remains the same between .25/.50 till 1/2. At .25/.50 I had only 145 raked hands over .50c out of over 18k hands! I was planning on clearing the bonus at .5/1 but if the rake is the same, it seems it might take forever.

The rake is the same. They don't count raked hands towards the bonus, they use FPPs. In order to get an FPP at .25/.50 the pot needs to be $10, and that's 20 BB so we all know that doesn't happen very often. It's not a fun bonus to clear unless you're playing 2/4 or higher.

Check out their FPP page (http://www.pokerstars.com/fpp.html) for more information.

I cleared the last bonus playing .5/1 6-max at Stars. I would guess about 10%-15% of the hands dealt in that game earn you an FPP, so I'm expecting ~5000 hands or so to clear at that level.

Personally I don't mind that because I've grown to like Stars, but yeah it can be kind of a grind.

Yeah I know.
So if I play .5/1 I get an FPP for each 10BB pot. Any estimate how many hands that can take?

Luckily, their bonii are stackable and never expire.

The bonuses are stackable and never expire so even if it does take forever, so what? Keep playing your game and when you're ready to move up the bonuses you have accumulated to that point will still be there.
