So, I'm playing a 22 on Pokerroom. Second or third hand, guy raises to 100 (it's 10-20) with AJs, gets three callers. Flops xAA with two hearts. He bets 100 (pot's ~400). Third heart comes on the turn. He bets, gets raised, loses most of his stack to a flush.

Then we get the whining about how he did everything right and still got screwed. How most people would have checked their trip As on the flop, but no, he bet out with them.

I'm restraining myself from pointing out how he made just about every possible mistake, but it's difficult.

Beware! Citanul lurks...

k, Im kinda new, the biggest glaring mistake I see is the WEAK flop bet. god, the pot odds, I might have even reraised with the flush for value, in case original bettor hit the x.

I am HORRIBLE at early levels of STT's, would someone smarter comment with a better way to play this pf?

The Iron Fist of Citanul would be well deserved.

That's it exactly. He flopped great but dangerous, then invited the heart draw to come along. Then he called off most of his stack when the third heart came.

Check/fold the turn he's made a t200 mistake. Instead he made it a t1200 mistake.

Oh come on. There are so many worse mistakes than that.

It can be hard to resist when they whine in the chat.

If anyone is tempted to table coach, they should add more tables, post more here while they play, watch a movie while they play or porn. Keep adding things until you are too busy to chat.

I get WAAAY worse in the $5+.50s. Sometimes I can't resist typing a mysterious lol or something. There's actually a regular horrible player on bodog 5.50s, that I've probably played with 5 or 6 times. He plays very few hands and overbets the pot with a great hand--he'll open to like 500 when blinds are 10/20. While he's doing this, he criticizes people for playing just about any hand other than QQ+, AK. He also saw me get outdrawn once with KK and criticized me for not betting enough (I'm 99% sure he was wrong on this one /images/graemlins/smile.gif).

Every possible mistake thats a bit much he didn't play the hand well, but in 20+2 sng's there are much worse plays than that.

So long as it's in the rules, people can play however the heck they want. Sometimes bad plays hurt you, but mostly they help. The whining can be hard to take but it means they don't understand how to play which is good for you. You just got to live with it

True...it was an overreaction to his claim of having done everything right. (Yes, he truly said that.)

Learn to flip it. Be supportive and act like his play was fine. Make a game of it.
