Does everybody start with the same amount?

Or there are some people who could start with 4000 instead of 2000?

Most people seem to have 3000, but some have 1000, 1400, or 2000. Why pay full price if you don't get full chips? How do youknow how many chips you are getting?

How do you find out how many chips you get? You don't want to pay $250 and find out you have 1/3 as many chips as everyone else.

When you sign up, there is a place to click called "distribute chips". It shows how many chips you have available to distribute and you can use up to 2000 each time (for a total of 3000). If you go to their website and my account, there is a link called "partypoker.com million extra starting chips" where you can see how much you have avaiable. You accumulate these through pretty much playing alot on party poker.

I checked. I have 3500 of them. You don't get much for MTTs, but I multitable some Stud cash games and 1-table satellites.

You are at a big disadvantage without the extra chips. Basically, this makes it difficult for people who don't play a lot on Party to play in these. Also, pros can't play in a huge number of them unless they play a lot on Party.

Nasty suprise for someone who pays $250 or wins a qualifier and discovers he has only 1000 chips. Seems like they should just require the 2000 points to play. As it is some people get burned.
