Villain is 23/19/2.8; He had been doing a lil too much pf raising

I think it looks fine. I think I want to get more than 2.5BB in postflop and that looks like a good way.

I don't mind it. Light PFRs don't necesarily cap light.

The only thing that came to mind was a flop cr, call down if 3-bet.

if he's not gonna bet AK/AQs here, then you can start folding this on the river if he bets it, and call more on the turn with stuff like pocket pairs. but I probably check-call the river on this one, and fold the pocket pairs on the riv as my default, until I get that read.

I stopped using the c/call c/call bet with J/T top pairs, QQ and KK were kind of owning me. if I have a K or an A top pair, then QQ-TT (and KK in the event of an A) all pay off instead of the opposite. that's a pretty big difference when the ranges are so small.

of course I reserve the right to be totally and completely wrong.

I think calling on the end is fine if you know that villan knows that line but it's hard to see what he could be raising that river with that you're ahead of.

I'd rather donk the turn here.

This looks like one of those hands where we all call the river then look at our hand history afterward and wonder why we did.

The river seems like the worst spot to get aggressive in this hand as every draw has hit, I dont think A-high will call and TT+ will all raise and maybe, just maybe sometimes some no pair hand, probably just around enough to make you keep him honest. Check-calling is the move on this river.

Could you elaborate, perhaps explaining what you'd do if raised?

i cannot fold that river, even if it is correct, so I just check and call like the candy-ass i am. if he checks AK or 99 behind, good for him.

Cuz think there is a chance AQ or AK takes a free card here, and that wouldnt be good. If I got raised, id prolly call down, and then feel like a tard when I got showed a better hand, heh.

I think you either need to CR the flop or donk the turn. like others said, I wouldnt be surprised if he took a free card with AK/AQ/KQ.

River gaybets suck just raise the flop.

After much experimenting, I realize that I too am not a huge fan of the river gaybet.
