I should have folded to the raise on the flop. Should I raise more PF or on the flop? I rarely fold pockets to a single overcard. Should I limp these from EP?

and you should probably start folding to overcards, esp. when you are reraised. You are losing alot of money just calling down with 2nd pair.

How is play at the micro-limits on Poker Stars? I heard Poker Stars isn't that fishy... don't raise UTG with 99, limp call

I couldn't compare, I've only played stars for about a week... so far I am 19bb/100 on 10 max but I'm not a fantastic player (obviously). I'm trying to build my bankroll before I move up in stakes (I bought in for the minimum $25 and am up 235% over a week). People do tend to play very tight and limpers will fold to a 4bb pf raise almost all the time.

I also can't get fish to call my overbets.. A friend of mine who plays 25 max pushes with the nuts no matter what on party and gets callers often enough to make it +++EV than playing by the book

you can fold to his raise man. try to put yourself in his head, and then try to put you on a hand based on your actions. thats all nl is really.
