Foreign aid to NO

I saw on Swedish website that Swedish governmental units are ready to fly to New Orleans to assist with water filtration equipment, temporary housing for homeless and telecommunications equipment; but the US has not yet requested assistance. Norwegian red cross also has equipment ready (mobile water filtration units, mobile hospital and personell), but have neither gotten any request. It goes beyond my understanding. Not wanting to politize, just for information.

I just want to say that I (and I assume most other Americans) are extremely grateful to all countries that have offered assistance.

Yeah, but the problem is that they can not go there before they get a "go"-signal. They can't just invade US, and as it is now they just have to wait here.

I understand this. It's stupid. I'm just expressing my gratitude even for the offers.
