View Full Version : Likely boring 40/80 hand

First time I play 40/80 villain is unknown but I heard this site should be lil fishy.

6 handed UTG folds, UTG+1 Raises, cutoff folds, button colds calls, SB calls, and I call with Q /images/graemlins/heart.gif 9 /images/graemlins/spade.gif
Flop is K /images/graemlins/club.gif T /images/graemlins/heart.gif 9 /images/graemlins/club.gif and its goes checked.
turn is 8 /images/graemlins/club.gif SB checks I bet out utg+1 folds and button calls.
River is Q /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
What is my action?
And what if the villain A)bets if I check B) raises if I bet?

I think check/call is pretty standard in this spot. Very standard. Painfully standard.

Yes end of thread I think. Anyway donk bet the flop or not bet the turn?

I probably would fold preflop here. I think you're dominated too often with an UTG+1 raise and 2 calls.

Bet the river. You'll get calls from pairs and maybe worse two pairs that won't bet if you check to them. Folding to a raise is probably fine.

Folding Q9s preflop folding the action getting 7:1 is really bad.

I play lower limits than 40/80- normally I would bet/fold this type of river. Maybe call at 10/20 against certain players. How tricky are your opponents?

Yes I didint even think about folding but I might protect blinds little too liberally.

BB about 80%
and SB 35%

This looks like a fold.

I bet the river.

Why is that better than bet/folding? I think theres a lot of value in a bet.

Oops, misread hand. Hmm. I still call with Q9o and those odds, I think. Much closer though.

why do you think that? do you think worse hands aren't calling a bet?, do you think that worse hands will bet if you check? i don't think either of those are true.
