I just got a letter from the university I'm going to telling me about my room:

This is a "set" (a sitting room, with a separate bedroom), with en suite bathroom (lavatory, shower, sink). In the bedroom there is a built-in wardrobe and a second handbasin.

There are two windows, one in the bedroom and one in the sitting room. The bathroom is off a tiny hallway between the front door and the entrance to the sitting room.


And it's mine, I don't need to share it, almost no one shares in the UK. I'm elated.

I have 6 surfs but only 3 minions, the distinction being that the surfs won't t follow me into the john. Also, they steal more turnips.

What a horrible comparison. Neither Yale nor Harvard are "the best" for much of anything. One can almost be educated as an undergraduate at Yale, but at Harvard you are just throwing money away for finishing school.

lol well I don't actually get there till October 1st, I was just using that as a comeback, perhaps I will take pics when I get there, depending how busy I am.

Oh and to ÖÖO, I wouldn't know how it feels to be second best, it sounds like you go/went to Oxford though so I'm sure you know plenty of people to ask if you can't work it out for yourself.

i spent a semester @ Lancaster University in England and I didnt need to share- I had my own room w/ bed, desk, window, couch thing, chair, sink, etc.

Congrats! What are you doing there? I only ask cos I'm applying to Fitz for Maths next year, so if all goes well I won't be too far away...

Good thing. That much surf could flood the place. Then you would have to get some serfs to clean it up.

I'm doing Social and Political Science (which is politics, psychology, sociology and social anthropology). Good luck for next year, would be cool if there were other 2p2ers there.
