Hey all,
Got a strange problem. I can't open any of my poker software. UB, Stars, PP, fulltilt, none of them will connect. I can't even get on www.ultimatebet.com (http://www.ultimatebet.com) or www.pokerstars.com. (http://www.pokerstars.com.) I'm having no problems with any other sites. I ran a virus check and uninstalled the UB software and nothing changed. Anybody ever have this problem before???

Thanks
Malone

Anybody??

This is driving me nuts. And before anyone asks, this isn't at work....it's from home on the same computer I used last night with no problems, I didn't change any settings.

thanks

Have no idea, but did you try clearing the cookies? Worth a try.

Have you got any kind of NetNanny software installed?

Have you tried giving your net connection a healthy reset?

Are you running any other blocking software, like a firewall, or PeerGuardian?

Regards, Punter

Are you logged in as Owner?

Do you think maybe posting this in Computer Technical Help might be more useful?

Turned firewall off, not running any other software you mentioned and reset connection....no help.

Thanks for the advice....I'll try resetting the router maybe??

Then, prepare to spend quite some time on the phone to ISP tech support. Most likely they're blocking it at their end at this point.

Since your icon suggests you spend most of your time sitting around doing nothing, I suppose that won't be too much of a hardship.

Happened to me a while back. I changed the date on my computer to keep Norton's AV from expiring. I couldnt log onto any poker site until I changed the date back. Worth a shot..

"Turning off" your firewall often doesn't turn it off. You should configure your firewall to allow access to each site. Email each site with the name of your firewall and they should be able to advise you as to the procedures to do so.
