I thought anagrams were words or phrases spelled the same backwards and forwards. Simple examples would be Bob and noon.

Oh well. At least I've always known the difference between synonyms, antonyms, and homonyms.

Acronyms I know! D.Y.N.A.S.T.Y. has been the name of my rotisserie baseball team since 1991.

Actually, the seven words basically mean "rotisserie baseball dynasty". I had to stretch with one of the words to make it work. But, I was satisfied.

A coupla years ago, John Vorhaus wrote a whole column in PD on anagrams of poker players. The main one I remember is "MELISSA HAYDEN DIMS AN EYELASH when she's bluffing."

On RGP, PAUL PHILLIPS has a 'signature' w/revolving anagrams & quotes,such as: PAL, I PILL PUSH; I'LL SHIP A PULP; SLAP PI UPHILL; PULL HIS PI, PAL; PP: I HAUL PILLS; etc.
