View Full Version : Labor Day weekend dilemma

People of OOT, help me make this decision. I will post a hot chick thread later when I get home from work.

This weekend, I've been invited to go camping with several friends.

Seems like a no-brainer, but here are some mitigating factors.

1) I went camping last weekend for two nights.
2) My wife's out of town and my other friends are bringing their wives.
3) With my wife out of town all weekend, I could get some much needed laziness taken care of.
4) It's a hike-in site, so it's a little more physically draining than car camping.

I feel like it would be fun, but a lot of work, and then I gotta turn right back around and go to work again. So I'm tempted to stay home and be lazy, but that seems kind of lame too.

Argh!

Whenever my wife is away I go the lazy route. That's how I voted.

I would almost never vote against camping, but seeing as how you're the only guy w/o a girl there and you just went camping...

There may be one other guy there without a girl... but, yeah, it'll be like 3 couples and me and him.

Another important detail I forgot to mention: My wife won't actually be back for two more weekends, so this won't be my last chance to catch up on my laziness.

However the last few weeks have been ultra-busy and I'm kinda burned out.

You've got a lot of laziness to catch up on. You might need 2 weekends. I could use a few myself.

Sounds like you don't really want to go, and are seeking OOT's permission to be a bum. I've got no problem with it.

I hate camping, so this would be an easy decision for me.

I read all the responses; this is the best one to quote.

Enjoy some much deserved couch time.

TWO important questions need to be answered before I vote.

1. Where are you going?
2. Can beer be broughten in easily?

I don't have anything useful to add, but I will be very disappointed if I don't see a chick thread with your name on it later tonight. You have been warned!

1) Near Mt. Adams
2) No, because we have to hike 3 miles to the site. However, a flask of Don Julio tequila could easily be brought.

Edited to add: I can also bring the flask to my couch.

[/ QUOTE ]well...normaly I would say go, cept I heard it is suppose to rain on either saturday or sunday. You could easily bring a half gallon, I mean you are a sturdy young man. But I would say your best play here is staying home this weekend, and then having the [censored] WSOP NEXT [censored] WEEKEND!!!!!!!! Or this weekend. Either one.
