Say 3 people make it to showdown. Two people have the same high hand, and the third man has the best low. How is the pot split here? Do the high hands get quartered?

Stork - Yes. It's fairly common with high straights and wheels (or any straights in a very loose game). But it also sometimes happens with full houses, trips with a kicker, two pairs, and one pair with a kicker.

Flushes, straight flushes, quads, and sets are spared the fate of sometimes being quartered for high.

Thanks for the replies... it recently occured to me that I've actually never seen this happen, so I wasn't sure and since we sometimes play O8 in my homegame it is need to know info.
