most people agree people who set goals are much more likely to attain them!

Post your september goals for MTT's. How many you aim to play, ROI, etc...

me, I just want to win a tournament on poker stars, thats it. I dont aim for a specific amount of money, as long as i make some.

i bet some of you aim for 100+ MTT's this month.

so post what you're goals are, no matter how small.

August was first month of playing MTT's full time..
and over 197 tournaments had a ROI of 57%.. but that was skewed by 18 "big" (>$100 buyin) where i couldn't cash in any.

excluding those had ROI of 150%, ITM 15%, and FT% 7.

I would be happy if i can repeat in September, and really happy if i can make a dent into those "big" tournaments.

so.. Main goal: Repeat August
Side goal: Cash (FT!) in >$100 MTT

I suppose I aim to keep better records this month. I know I've been making good money MTT'ing, but I think I need to keep better records which could improve my game by avoiding specific MTTs that I don't fare so well in. (Maybe delve into some software?)

Top 3 in a >500 entrants MTT would be nice too =)

Oh, this seems like a good place to put this in..

I made a MTT spreadsheet (kind of a ghetto version of the SnG one) it's alright, could use some touching up but for anyoen that's interested PM me and i'll email it to you.

My only goal for September is to win a seat into the $10k WPT event at Foxwoods on Paradise. $4 rebuy -> $200 satellite -> $10k seat. I set a $500 spending limit. That's the plan, everything else is secondary for now.

My goal this month is to make mid 4 figure sums on 3 different sites from MTT's, and NOT jazz the whole sum away on ill-advised drunken ventures to the highest stakes cash games!!!

In September 2005 I play my MTTs with FTC.

Focus - that is, I acknowledge that my limited attention span (at least at this point in life) doesn't allow me to empty the dish washer, pay bills online, answer the phone, prepare dinner or watch TV while playing (and don't start talking about playing more than one MTT at a time); instead I follow every actions of each and every player seated at my table (no matter how poor they play), and try to figure out their holdings.

Thought - I actually stop to consider what the CO might have been raising with before ramming my stack in from the BB with 88, when I still have more than 20BB left.

Control - I monitor myself extra closely when I loose a big hand as a favorite, or if I suddenly drop from being the chip leader to sitting on less than half the average stack. If I sense any sign of tilt I consequently - even if my BB is coming up - sit out for 3 minutes, walk away from the computer, get some fresh air, make positive visualisations and have a snack before I return to the game.

Nice. This is one of my goals too.

I have played 08 a good amount B&M, and am getting started online now. Thus far, I've noticed the low limits to be extremely soft, much more so than low limit HE.

I'd like to play in my first money tournament as I think I'm almost ready to make the leap.. if not September then I think i'll be ready by October...

Make another final table.
Don't blow my MTT roll. (~700)
Win an EPT seat (gotta dream right?)

I figure its better to aim high and miss than aim low and hit, so, repeat August's 300% ROI and 5 figure profit.

I'm working on my game so I plan to:

Read Harrington Vol II without falling asleep.
Review at least 1/2 of my MTT's.
Play only 1 MTT at a time.
Watch the player to my left more closely.
Increase my average buyin per MTT.

Just a simple goal.

I want to finish well into the money on Stars $1 tourney.

I like this one. I will download Paradise as soon as my new computer arrives.

In addition,

1. Play in at least two WCCOP events.
2. Satellite into and play 1 Sunday 500K on PS.
3. Make 1 FT/week.

That should be challenging but manageable.

I finished august with a 288 ROI (very small sample size)

this september i'm hoping to play 200 MTTs before I start school (the 27th) and net at least $1000 to help pay for living expenses and general stuff like food, clothes, etc.
