Turn might be a nice spot for the worried-that-you-spiked-an-ace bet. Which is $4.80.

You're only getting paid off if he has the A... he obviously just doesn't have it.

I bet out.

well if he has an ace he will bet the turn anyway since he is aggressive. if he doesn't have an ace i feel he will fold to my bet if he is behind whereas as an aggressive player he might take my turn check as weakness/fear and try to represent the ace. i also dont see giving a free card as bad and even if he checks behind it will induce a wider range of hands to call on river.

I think betting out on this flop is much better, but not because of draws. If you're lucky he has an overpair and will raise you. And many times he will just call with 2 overcards, and hit an expensive pair on the turn.

Bet/3 betting a LAG with a set is a thing of beauty.

Yea I agree with you on the flop. Based on how the hand went do you ever c/r the turn and how often?

Check/call turn, value bet river. The ace is a scare card to his most likely holdings: mid-pocket pairs.
