LinkityLink (http://extempore.livejournal.com/113116.html)

Is it ok to link to his blog here, or should I copy and post?

I don't think they have a problem with outside links, especially those that are informational and free.

Is there anywhere to go see how well we did? I didn't see that anywhere.

I'm sure he will give us the actual hands in due course.

This deserves more attention. The hands are hard. Especially look at Jacksup (Matt Matros) and rosenblum (russel rosenblum) as I think they give the best analysis. Interestingly though, they both give PP much less credit for AA on the first hand than almost anybody else, including me.

My first thought on the first hand was that he must have exactly 88.

meh. I cannot see him playing 88 this way preflop. He put 1/5 of his stack in OOP against two opponents. Given that, he has talked about limping behind a limper with AA on 2+2 before, he has talked about trusting his preflop edge with AA when he gets about 1/5 his stackin in preflop, and that he commented on how he was playing almost completely good cards. I say AA.

I didn't know that. I found that idea relatively hard to believe, but I suppose if he thought he could make good folds with it then maybe, but I feel like letting the blinds see the flop cheap is a good way to lose money with AA a lot of the time.

The reason why I said he had 88 is because he wanted to play it for set value but if the button was pretty bad postflop he might have wanted to get it HU against him instead of playing it for set value.

That was a thought I had as well, as I seem to remember him mentioning that either here or in his blog. It was part of a discussion about reverse implied odds, I think.

Interesting hands though.

Yep, here's the thread (http://archiveserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=tv&Number=2016366&Forum=f2 3&Words=&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Main=2016366&Search =true&where=bodysub&Name=5&daterange=1&newerval=&n ewertype=w&olderval=&oldertype=&bodyprev=#Post2016 366) where Sklansky and Phillips talk about limping behind with AA and the need to make tough folds.
