My August goal:

"Play 500 22s this month"

My August stats:

40.8% ITM and 21.64% ROI

Profit: $2380.

4 played, -100% ROI, -$132

Then ring games $450 + $200 in bonuses for total profit of $2900 + rakeback.

Goal next month: 750 games (mix of 22s and 33s).

3.) reread HPFAP and LLHE and play 1000 hands 6-max at a low limit.

Results

Got sidetracked with actual work, etc.

180 20$ Sngs 18.7% ROI before rakeback.
-including a 14 OoTM streak, and a 566$ downswing. How about that for some variance over a small sample.

Now I need to figure out if I was on a cooler in the middle or a heater at the end??

I gave up the 6max limit the first time I saw the 5-max NL games on paradise. Played a few thousand hands there with very nice results.

Mine were ITM 40%, ROI 20%, improve my 1/2/3 distribution (26/26/27), learn to 4 table.

Actual: ITM 42.2, ROI 15.8, 28/46/50 (YUK!). It seemed like I couldn't win a coinflip or with a dominating Ax to save my life, but it could very well be that I'm just playing too weak toward the end of the tournaments. I'm 4-tabling now and I'm not sure it's working out too well yet, but I'm starting to get used to it.

And after bragging about my first +$1k month, I managed to hang onto it by the skin of my teeth: +$1002.

Well, I didn't come anywhere close to my target number of SNGs (which was 500). I spent most of the month playing mtt's and NL ring. Did alright at those, I think I got some good experience and worked on various aspects of my game.

I did reach my goal of working up to 8-tabling SNGs over the past few days, so I'm happy with that. All in all, it was a slightly better than break-even month and I'm looking forward to returning to SNGs this month. Although I'm not the least bit happy that Raptor will apparently be on every table I play.

Won a ton of cash...played not enough.

Next month my goal is to clear $1000 in rakeback (so like 400 sngs) and maybe be 8 tabling by the end of the month.

I missed my numbers by 1.5% and roughly 150 SNGs. Not bad considering I just moved into an apartment and was without internet for roughly 1.5 weeks. I'm not happy with my 55 ROI, but I've been through a crazy downswing there as of late. Maybe I should stick to the 33s/109s /images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Other Goals:
"Play some HU STTs on Stars. Better my postflop play in some Party 6max ring."

I played 503 SNG's; my first 87 were beyond sexy, the next 426 were break even.

August goals... uh... was one to remember my goals? Failed there I guess.

August sucked. I didn't play much and when I did, it went badly. On the plus side, I got the pool fixed just in time for winter.

All told, +$266.62. At least it's a black number.

2)clear the ring bonii at 2/4 with 4BB/100

I had only the latter half of the month because of being on vacations.

Achievements:
1) played 140 SnGs with a reckognizable negative ROI (about -10%).

2) Got my ass handed back to me at the 2/4s (-10 BB/100 over 2000 hands), dropped back to 1/2 (+5 BB/100).

Finished the month at -280$.

This all is coming after having my first +1000$ month at $1750 in July.

Oh, I also visited a casino the first time in 12 months, brought $400 and took home $3000 from the slots. My goal now: never ever go back!

survive at 20/40 and 30/60 limit.
(109's if that attempt fails)
play larger buy in mtt's ($100+)
work 40 hours per week
finally get HOH2 read, and reread Middle Limit Holden
stop and think at least 10 sec before every play at a mtt final table.

all but the 40 hours per week part have been fine. I won some money on the 1st day of the month, and after that never really got motivated enough to put in those kind of hours. I've averaged a little under 30/week.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the forum and friends of mine who have helped me improve this month.

August goal: to play 500 SNGs, and to improve on my July stats (ROI/ITM). Move back up to the 33s by the end of the month.

Result: didn't make the 500 (about 50 short), but did improve on my July stats (12% ROI/39% ITM vs something like 7% ROI/37% ITM), and made more money than July even with the lower number of games and lower average buy-in. Stayed at the 22s pretty much the entire month, though -- was pwning them so hard (close to 70% ITM the last week of the month, hey, is that sustainable? /images/graemlins/grin.gif) at the end of the month I figured I'd just stick with it.

I usually play between 900-1000. I did play more ring though, but I had a week where I played only 6 hours.
