My thinking is almost any 2 as the BB has been rather tight.
Party 22, what kind of range do you push here?

Total number of players : 4
Seat 2: Agouron ( $1955 )
Seat 3: Rontti ( $2430 )
Seat 6: D_Ngrneau ( $1140 )
Seat 9: Hero ( $2475 )
Trny:15343272 Level:8
Blinds(200/400)
** Dealing down cards **
Hero [ X X ]
Rontti folds.
D_Ngrneau folds.
Hero pushes or folds what?

Im really suprise to see your willing to push almost any 2. I dont know exactly how big a difference it is from 10+1, but I would fold everything except a premium hand in this spot. You have 6x BB and theres a short stack.

I'm guessing your line of thinking you have alot of FE because there is a short stack. And this makes alot of sense because the SB and BB should fold all but premium hands. In my experinece, however, these ppl have a huge and idiotic calling range.

Again, ur play is really weird to me, and being the less expericenced and skilled player, this post brings worry about my own strategy. Brian

I am somewhat tightish in these situations, especially when first to act. But it all depends on how the players are. I would probably push A7+ 66+ and KJs+. Sometimes less, sometimes more. It depends. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Maybe I'm too tight in this situation but I want a pretty good hand here unless the BB has been laying down a lot of hands. My range is based on how tight I see the BB and what I think my table image is.

Well here you are in the SB, with 2 folds already.

Put yourself in the BB's shoes.

I just pushed and he is the shortest stack. What is he going to be calling with (I already told you he is not a maniac) and then calculate the % of the time he will be holding that range and the % of the time he won't.

Sure you could fold here but this is about as good as a place as possible to get the blinds without even caring what your cards are.

Haven't read any responses yet, but I'm pushing literally any two given your read.

(Edit: and still pushing it against most BBs; there are some idiotically loose players in the 11s and 22s, but if I'm up against one of those, I should know that by now.)

if BB is tight push any 2, if hes loose or spite calls then i would push any A, K, Q, PP, suited connectors

My mistake, thought u had to go through 2 ppl althought I would still usually fold in sb without cards. Your reasoning makes alot of sense to me, and Im gonna push here from now on unless BB is crazy. Thxs alot 1C5, Brian.

Man even if I got two blank cards that guaranteed I lose if called I'd still push here. I'd also phone my mom at work and tell her how good I did it.

BB's calling range is going to be insanely tight when shortie only has 2 rounds of blinds left in him...these blinds are worth an additional 25% to your stack. Push 32o-AA.

In 55 or higher games the line "push anything" is obvious, but here it is 22 - what would be your line if you think the bb is calling with top 50% (which is stupid, but at least caint of reality)??

even at the 10s people understand they ahve to make the top 3 to make the money. ive found the 22s to actually be tighter on the bubble (as far as calling ranges) than the 215s. holla
