Long time lurker...first time poster (kinda sound like Mr. Obvious there).

Villain has been caught bluffing a number of times..this is from a $10 tourney on Absolute. I have played my usual tight tourney...

Blinds are at 75/150
Villain (UTG)- $2,000
Me (BB) - $1,500
SB - $800
2 others at about 3500 each

I'm dealt Q: /images/graemlins/club.gif8 /images/graemlins/spade.gif
Villain calls, everyone else folds, I check.

Flop is
K /images/graemlins/club.gif8 /images/graemlins/club.gif3 /images/graemlins/club.gif

I check..villain bets $300...
I push all in. Is this a good time to push? Anyone play this different?

Also, thanks for all the help so far.

I think you should have bet instead of checking.

He called me with K 8 off suit...no clubs..and won the hand with top pair and I'm out.

If you would have bet instead of checked he would have pushed and you would have known to fold.

Thanks..didn't think of it that way...my thought were he bluffs a ton and is probably doing it this time. I figured I had the flush draw as an out..and also any queen or 9 as well. I honestly didn't think there was any way he'd call me with that kind of hand.

I like to bet it here, its pretty tough to come over the top esp when your not even drawing to the nut flush. I think he played it fine esp that it being a 10 i would call here pretty much all the time absent of reads.
