As a player who plays in offpeak times, and at small sites, I've noticed that there doesn't seem to be much fixed limit 1/2 - there is always heaps of 50c/$1 and often regular 2/4..is 1/2 sort of a transition limit, from micro to small?

Either way it's annoying, having to play small PL and NL games cause A) I hate 50/1 and B) Party's rake is double that of most online compeditors at the $5 level taking 50c for a $5 pot, which is too much in 50/1 where most pots are around the $6-$10 dollar mark.

However I found when I played at Victor Chandler the only game reguarily running was 1/2 - no 50/1 at all. Very strange.

Try UB or Paradise, both seem to have 1/2 going regularly.

If you live down under, you should play paradise as any other site wont have enough traffic to give you game choices

why play 1/2 when you can play 2/4? the caliber of player at 2/4 is usually worse or just as bad as at 1/2 and the rake is better at 2/4.

Pokerroom has the juiciest 1-2 games going and great game selection. UB is OK but Pokerroom has far more games speard at the 1-2 level.

Why don't I play 2/4?
I'm a university student with a part time job making the most of a $25 deposit I made at VC Poker a few months ago.

IE, I don'ts gots enuf of the money to play...but give me a few wins at 1/2 and you might see me round /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

The pokerrooom 1/2 game is about the softest 1/2 game on the net. I think the reason for this is because their lowest limit is 1/2, so the .50/1 players are playing 1/2. But I noticed that the games there are tighter during the day, but in the evening they are very loose still.
