I brought poker essays 3 about a year ago as a beginner in poker. Last night I re-read the "hands to talk about" section of the book and found the analysis and the thought process of Mason Malmuth to be extremely informative. When I brought this book as a beginner I think I wasn't able to appreciate this section of the book because my skill level was still relatively low. But after studying the game for over a year now I believe this section of the book is well worth the price of the book. Even through some might disagree with what Mason had to say and he even admit to that in his book. I believe any expert poker player must have good command of the kind of thinking that he put forth in the different hands that he discussed in this section. In closing, I think anyone who have not read this book and especially this section of the book is denying themselves of some really good information.
