I have been trying to incorporate some LAGginess into my game and this is an attempt at it(figured I had the stack size to play loose. I was playing party yesterday and ran into one of my favorite fish. The guy is very predictable postflop and has seen me bluff quite a bit. I was willing to give it up on the turn. I did get lucky on this hand, but anybody think I should check the turn here?

I dont like it. It's just like these fish, noticing people are pushing their draws hard to put you on hearts or 56 checkraise you big on turn with AJ, KJ etc.

For a fish, he made a hell of a read.

I'd probably check the turn, but I guess it depends. You say the guy was very predictable postflop: in what way was he predictable?

I was playing him for 4 hours now. For eg: The bet on the flop this hand meant that he had middle pair or a pair lower than jacks. I had just doubled him up when he raised to 300 preflop with his AQ and hit a queen. I reraised and put him allin with my AKs.

The guy makes big raises preflop with any two overcards so I did not put him on a jack here and hoped he would fold to my raise on the flop here. And when he checked I really wanted to show some strength here.

It almost seems like your style of play has made him take this line against you. Does he play like this against other players (call raise, check/call, check/calling his way to getting stacked with second pair 7's)?

So clearly, you aren't going to LAG it up aginst him again right? Next time wait till you have QJ to play like that agaist this board, clearly it will be profitable.

A lot of people are confusing lag with chip spewing, I think this is one of those times.

Why don't you just wait for AK/QQ-AA and take all his money with those cards?
