View Full Version : Using MS Access to keep player notes
How do you guys set up your database? I have a basic understanding of how Access works and I'm adept with office in general.
Up to now I've been scribling down my notes on paper which doesn't make sense because I have an electronic medium for storing all my other poker related info.

I don't have one...I downloaded PokerTracker and use that to keep my notes.
It would be pretty easy to set up a table in Access with two/three fields...playername, site, notes. Then you could have a form with ten drop-down boxes (setup like a poker table) where you select the names and the notes for that player appear. If you want I could probably make something basic like this (probably not much more though...I have some Access experience but not a ton).

p.s. - Where's my analysis!
p.p.s. - You want three bucks?
At first I was going to say, thanks but no thanks I'll do it myself.
But then I thought, I can pay you $3 to do it! /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
I would greatly appreciate a starter "template" I'm sure I'll tweak it somehow. It's been a while since I've used access and this would be a good jump start. I appreciate your offer, thank you.
