$10+1 Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (5 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

SB (t2825)
Hero (t796)
UTG (t610)
MP (t400)
Button (t3369)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7/images/graemlins/club.gif, 3/images/graemlins/club.gif.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises to t400 (All-In)</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Hero ???

If I fold, I'll have t646.
If I call and lose, I'll have t396.
If I call and win, I'll have t1271.

With 2 other small stacks, it would be difficult to fold my way into the money. So, it would seem that if I fold, I'm going to have to push before the blinds hit me again.

If I call and win I double up and if I fold, push a later hand and win, I'll also double up. The difference is that if I call and lose now, I still have t396 left, but if I push and lose later, I'll be eliminated.

So, do you call with a weak hand now or hope to push a strong hand later?

My instinct is saying that you should call here because MP is all in and you can eliminate someone but you should fold if he's not.

I have no idea why I think it's that close, but I do.

I also think this is really close, and it also depends on how many more hands there are until the blinds increase.

The other two small stacks are about to be hit by the blinds - if the BB is about to increase to 300, I think folding might be a good option and wait to push a stronger hand or let the other small stacks get knocked out.

I posted that based on the bb being 200 for some reason.

At 150, you build MP up a little less by folding, and it costs you a little more to call, and I think that nyc's reply makes far more sense than mine does.

Edited so that at least 50% of my posts in this thread have a chance of making sense.

625 in pot, 250 to call. 2.5-1 on a call, you're about 2-1 underdog against is pretty wide ROH. So I think pot odds say call, as does your tournament situation. I'd call.

I agree as it's likely that one shorty'll double up and another will bust--I think it's best to take a chance here.
