tried two nites to get seat at greektown in detroit...waiting lists unbelievably long...2+ hour waits...5 tables...supposed to expand to at least 15 tables early 2002..
bit bullet, drove up to soaring iggle in mt. pleasant..got on lists of 10-20, 15-30, 20-40 he...played briefly in 2-10 7 cs 8hi/lo...started 10-20 he good but not gr8 g..several very inexperienced players...fairly passive,loose..chopped only once in 6 hours...finally got call to 15-30 after 5 hour wait (declined)...they never got a 20-40 g going...did have two 10-20 he going..this was sunday before new years...well run card room..hint..ya gotta get a players card and play for time periods to qualify for comps....did cash out 16 bb winner...
standard joke at table was the waiting time at greektown, and driving to soring eagle timw is about the same...players agreed the greektown 10-20 he was looser generally than se, and they looked forward to greektown expanding...
i like the soaring eagle cardroom and have had good luck there...jmho..gl
