I'm not sure I understand this play. Were you trying to represent a bluff hoping that someone would call with something like two pair?

No, I was hoping someone would call with a flush or a straight draw.

it looks fine to me.....hopefully he didn't flop the straight...you are most likely ahead here, so get the money in with only 1 card to come.

The only thing I don't understand here is why you pushed rather than just betting his stack. The only reason I can think of for pushing is for the psychological advantage (saying "I'm willing to put all my chips at stake here"). But, in this situation, you are begging for a call from any drawing hand. So, why push?

I think unless you´re playing against some real idiot, he wont call a slightly under 5x the pot on a draw. I wouldn´t be suprised now that he calls you, he´s got you beat.

I would have made a standard raise preflop with TT from mid position.

preflop-limp looks fine to me. i'll limp here all the time
flop-good reraise.
turn- bleh. potsize it proceed from there. If he flopped the straight then all your money's going in no matter what. However, to get calls from the draws you just want a potsized bet. And these are the calls where you'll usually make your money.

pushing works everyonce in a while, but it just makes you angry when they hit their flush. Plus your losing value when you drastically overbet this turn.

Remember this is party 50 NL...its full of real idiots. I can see being called with top pair here.

I feel like a lot of players is more likely to call a push like this than a pot sized bet, mistaking it for a bluff.
Maybe a pot sized bet is better here though.

The thing to remember on the turn is at this point he is more or less pot committed, whether he realizes that or not. So all his money is going in (or should be). That said, it basically boils down to whether or not you think he realizes that and whether it makes any difference to him whether you push or make a PSB. Something tells me you got outflopped here, but that is irrelevant to your question

I agree with poster jacknine. Your overbet is so large that someone would have to be a real idiot to call with just a draw -- the odds to call just aren't there. You may induce a call from such an idiot, but I think that you are more likely to get called by someone who already has the straight.
