What kind of shoes do you wear with jeans. Assume you're going someplace where your running shoes aren't appropriate. Post pics or links please.

Most days I wear something from Diesel (or same idea) with my jeans to work. Not as casual as a pair of adidas running shoes but they're the same style as everything else I wear.

The clothes I wear to work probably wouldn't fly at most places though, I'm usually dressed like I'm going to a club.

some diesel's (http://www.shoedini.com/diesel/mens/category_search/index.cfm?N=20023884)

obviously some are more casual than others.

I don't mean exactly "not appropriate" like dressy. I just don't really ever wear running shoes unless i'm running, or sometimes with shorts.

Bought all three shoes in one day, mostly so I could wear them with jeans but I think they're pretty versatile...

http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/2892/smallblack0sx.jpg
A little more formal, can be worn with real pants or with jeans. Versatile, I like it. $80 at Aldo or so...

http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/3720/smallblue1le.jpg
Ga...er...metrosexual sneakers. I like them, although I've been told they look like bowling shoes. Expensive, leather bowling shoes...$80 or so again from Aldo. I think these are pretty good for wearing around whenever, but I think I'd go to a club in these.

http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/7752/smallroos8py.jpg
Less gay, still versatile. Look good enough to go out in, but I wear them to the gym too (lifting, I wouldn't run in these)...

Well, assuming I owned a pair of jeans (I don't), I can't think of a reason not to wear my usual shoes--the ever-loyal police cars, black-and-white saddleshoes handmade in Oregon. Perhaps my deep mahogany alligator shoes would also fly. I don't think I could pull of my white euro-trash duck shoes with jeans, but hey, I like living dangerously!

During the Fall it's usually something like Ecco or Kenneth Cole if I'm wearing dressier shoes.

I'm mostly wearing decent tennis shoes though. Diesel are great, Prada, Jordan's, Puma...

Just because they're tennis shoes doesn't mean they have to look casual or trashy.

I have these exact shoes in black, which are what I wear with most of my jeans. I need new brown casuals 'cause I lost my old ones. : /

Dude, those are some ugly assed shoes. No, really. However, since I am a dork and stick to the basics, you know black and brown casual/dress shoes and white running shoes, I don't know if I am qualified to comment.

You're much cooler than I am, though, this I do know.

I wear white socks everywhere, with everything (except dress shoes and flip flops). I stopped caring about fashion once I got married - if I ever cared.
